Ngorongoro and Manyara Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We begin our journey early, picking you up from your Arusha hotel and heading south to the magnificent Tarangire National Park. After arriving at a picnic site for lunch, we embark on an afternoon game drive. Known as the 'Elephant Playground,' Tarangire is home to herds of up to 300 elephants. The park also features buffalo, lions, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and unique species such as the gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. Lake Burungi's marshy shores attract various bird species, including giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the white-bellied go-away bird. After a day filled with wildlife, we return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 2

Mto wa Mbu to Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast at the lodge, we collect our picnic lunch and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, the park also hosts elephants, hippos, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffes, and over 400 bird species, including flamingos. After an exhilarating afternoon of wildlife viewing, we return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Arusha or Airport

On our final day, we set out early for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, often regarded as a wonder of the world. This volcanic caldera, the largest in the world, is a stunning landscape of grasslands, forests, and swamps. The permanent water sources here support over 25,000 large mammals, including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, waterbucks, baboons, and the rare black rhino. The Maasai people also graze their cattle here, highlighting the unique coexistence of humans and wildlife in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a morning game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, we head to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.

The tour ends at Kilimanjaro International Airport at 17:30. For same-day departures, book a domestic flight departing at 19:40 or later, or an international flight at 21:00 or later. For earlier flights, please arrange post-night accommodation.
