Zanzibar, Arusha and Ngorongoro Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will receive a warm welcome from our friendly and professional driver guide. After a brief introduction to your upcoming safari, you'll be transferred to Arusha for your overnight stay at the Gold Crest Hotel. Take this time to relax and prepare for the exciting adventures awaiting you on the following day.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from Gold Crest Hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, with lunch boxes in tow.

Named after the Tarangire River, which meanders through the park and serves as a crucial water source for wildlife during the dry season, the park is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse landscapes. You'll traverse through seasonal swamps and savanna, where you might witness lions stalking their prey or leopards lounging in the trees. The park is also home to elusive tree-climbing pythons. Following an exhilarating game drive, you'll head to your lodge for a relaxing evening, complete with dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, where you’ll embark on a day of exciting wildlife game drives with picnic lunch boxes provided. Following your exploration of the park, you'll be driven to Marera Valley Lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park spans approximately 330 sq. km (127 sq. miles), with the lake covering up to 200 sq. km (77 sq. miles) when water levels are high. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, which are often hidden among the branches, and its large populations of baboons that you'll encounter as you enter the park. Lake Manyara is also a bird-watcher’s paradise and offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, and buffaloes. During your game drive, make sure to visit the hippo pool, where you can stretch your legs and observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
Day 4
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, carrying picnic lunch boxes for your convenience. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a designated spot within the park, then continue with an afternoon game drive. Spend the night at your camp and prepare for a full day of exploration in the park the following day.

Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the world's largest unbroken caldera and a remarkable natural wonder of Africa. This unique landscape is home to approximately 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as a variety of bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. The crater's rich biodiversity allows for exceptional wildlife viewing in a relatively short period. You'll also have the opportunity to observe the harmonious coexistence of the local Maasai people with the wildlife in this extraordinary environment.
Day 7
After a hearty breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Lake Eyasi for an immersive cultural experience. You will meet the Hadzabe community, renowned for their traditional hunting skills. Join them on a hunting expedition and witness their techniques up close.

Following your time with the Hadzabe, you'll visit the Datoga community, noted for their blacksmithing expertise. Experience their craftsmanship and gain insight into their unique way of life.

Enjoy a leisurely walk around Lake Eyasi, exploring the local village and experiencing the authentic rhythm of African life. After these enriching encounters, you'll return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, complete with dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8
After a leisurely breakfast and some time to unwind at the lodge, you may have the opportunity for a brief shopping excursion in Karatu town if time permits. Following this, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (formerly Zanzibar International Airport), you'll be greeted by our local driver. You will then be privately transferred to your hotel in Zanzibar, where you can begin to relax and immerse yourself in the island's unique charm.
Day 9
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Zanzibar's historic Stone Town. Discover the labyrinthine streets, where Swahili-Omani architecture prevails with intricately carved doorways, metal studs, and overhanging balconies.

During your exploration, you’ll visit key historical sites, including buildings from the colonial era and mosques commissioned by past Sultans of Zanzibar. You'll also see a mix of architectural styles, including continental churches, reflecting Zanzibar's rich cultural and historical tapestry.

In the afternoon, you'll be transferred to your beach hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy the island's stunning coastal scenery.
